Petrol and diesel prices experience daily variations, and this Saturday brought changes to oil rates in various cities across India. Internationally, crude oil prices increased, with WTI reaching $73.81 per barrel, a 2.24% rise, and Brent Crude becoming $78.76 per barrel, marking a 1.51% decrease.
In Uttar Pradesh, several cities witnessed a reduction in petrol and diesel prices on Saturday. Noida and Greater Noida saw a decrease of 14 paise, bringing petrol and diesel prices to ₹96.65 and ₹89.82 per liter, respectively. Varanasi experienced a 33 paise reduction, resulting in ₹97.17 for petrol and ₹90.35 for diesel. Agra recorded a 2 paise decrease, setting petrol and diesel prices at ₹96.40 and ₹89.57 per liter.
Major metropolitan areas showcased the following fuel prices:
- Delhi: ₹96.72 (Petrol), ₹89.62 (Diesel)
- Mumbai: ₹106.31 (Petrol), ₹94.27 (Diesel)
- Kolkata: ₹106.03 (Petrol), ₹92.76 (Diesel)
- Chennai: ₹102.63 (Petrol), ₹94.24 (Diesel)
In Prayagraj, petrol became costlier by 18 paise, reaching ₹97.46, while diesel increased by 17 paise to ₹90.64 per liter. Gorakhpur experienced a 4 paise rise, resulting in petrol and diesel prices of ₹96.81 and ₹89.99 per liter. In Lucknow, a 10 paise reduction led to prices of ₹96.47 (petrol) and ₹89.66 (diesel) per liter.
Rajasthan’s Bikaner saw a significant increase of 52 paise in petrol, reaching ₹111.08, and a 48 paise hike in diesel, setting it at ₹96.08 per liter. Ganganagar experienced a decrease of 52 paise for petrol and 48 paise for diesel, resulting in prices of ₹112.96 and ₹97.76 per liter, respectively. Hanumangarh recorded a rise of 55 paise for petrol and 50 paise for diesel, reaching ₹112.61 and ₹97.45 per liter. In Tonk, petrol increased by 41 paise to ₹109.62, and diesel rose by 37 paise, reaching ₹94.75 per liter.
