Indian Government Issues Travel Advisory for Israel and Iran

The Indian Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) has issued a travel advisory urging Indians to avoid traveling to Israel or Iran until further notice, citing increased risks of military escalation in the region.

Indians currently residing in Iran or Israel are advised to contact Indian Embassies in these countries and register themselves for assistance. The advisory by Indian Government emphasizes the importance of prioritizing safety and minimizing movements.

Ceasefire negotiations in the Middle East have been prolonged, leading to concerns of potential hostilities. Recent events, including an Israeli airstrike on the Iranian embassy in Syria, have heightened tensions. Iran has threatened retaliation against Israel and called upon the US to refrain from interference.

Tehran has expressed intentions to avenge the deaths of its generals in a recent airstrike in Damascus, attributed to Israel. Israel, anticipating possible attacks, has mobilized additional defense units.
