In a tragic incident, at least nine Pakistani nationals fell victim to unidentified gunmen in Iran’s restive southeastern border area of Saravan on Saturday, January 27.
Expressing deep shock, Pakistani Ambassador to Tehran Muhammad Mudassir Tipi announced full support for the bereaved families. The attack, labeled a “terrorist incident” by Pakistan’s foreign ministry, prompted urgent calls for Iran’s collaboration in the investigation.
The assailants, described as three armed individuals, entered the victims’ residence in Saravan, according to survivors. The attackers shot the foreigners, leaving nine dead and three wounded, before swiftly fleeing the scene.

While the Iranian semi-official news agency Mehr News reported the incident, no individual or group has claimed responsibility for the tragic attack.
