The BRP Sindangan sustained minor structural damage, while another Philippine vessel was hit by water cannon blasts from Chinese coast guard ships, injuring crew members. The Philippine government task force condemned China’s actions as illegal coercion, jeopardizing the safety of Filipino personnel.
