Dr Reddy’s Laboratories has entered into an exclusive partnership with Sanofi Healthcare India Pvt Ltd for distributing Sanofi’s paediatric and adult vaccine brands in the Indian market, solidifying its position in the vaccine segment.
Under the agreement, Dr Reddy’s will exclusively promote and distribute Sanofi’s vaccine brands, including Hexaxim, Pentaxim, Tetraxim, Menactra, FluQuadri, Adacel, and Avaxim 80U, while Sanofi will retain ownership and manufacturing rights.
Combined sales of these brands amounted to approximately Rs 426 crore (approximately US$51 million) as per IQVIA MAT February 2024.
This strategic alliance aligns with Dr Reddy’s mission to enhance access to novel and trusted drugs for patients in India, positioning the company as a key player in the vaccine market, securing the second position among vaccine players in the country.

Dr Reddy’s Labs CEO for branded markets, MV Ramana, highlights the partnership’s significance in expanding the company’s presence in the vaccine segment and enhancing engagement with healthcare professionals to broaden access to Sanofi’s renowned vaccine brands.
Sanofi’s general manager for vaccines in India, Preeti Futnani, underscores the partnership’s role in extending Sanofi’s geographic reach in India, especially to the large unvaccinated population, despite the growing confidence in vaccines in the country.
The collaboration signifies both companies’ commitment to addressing public health challenges and delivering innovative healthcare solutions to patients across India.
