Eyewitnesses described the scene as the parcel, filled with essential items, plummeted like a projectile onto a house near the al-Shati refugee camp, known for its vulnerability due to Israeli airstrikes.
Amidst the ongoing Israel-Hamas conflict, the situation in northern Gaza remains dire, with residents enduring severe shortages of basic necessities such as electricity, water, and sanitation facilities.
The region faces conditions akin to a famine, exacerbating the plight of its inhabitants.Those affected by the airdrop disaster were rushed to Gaza City’s al-Shifa hospital for medical treatment. Witnesses recount their anticipation of receiving aid, only to be met with tragedy as the parcel descended onto the building.

Recently, the Israel Army launched strikes on one of Rafah’s largest residential towers, reducing it to rubble. This leaves displaced families with limited options for shelter, as the enclave’s last remaining safe zones are under threat of invasion by Israeli forces.
Following the destruction of the residential tower, numerous families find themselves homeless, their lives upturned by the airstrikes. Despite a 30-minute warning from Israeli authorities prior to the attack, chaos ensued as residents scrambled to evacuate the building, leaving behind their belongings in the wake of destruction.
