Yamaha has launched its powerful sports bike, the Yamaha R3, in the Indian market, with deliveries set to begin next year.
Priced at INR 4.64 lakhs ex-showroom, it comes with modern digital instrument cluster featuring speedometer, trip meter, odometer, fuel gauge, side stand indicator, and a digital clock.
The bike houses a 321cc 4-stroke dual-cylinder engine, generating 42 PS of power at 10,750 RPM and 29 Newton-meters of torque at 9,000 RPM. Despite the high cost, it lacks Bluetooth connectivity and navigation features on its digital display.
The R3 boasts safety features like dual-channel ABS and disc brakes, with a ground clearance of 160 mm. While the mileage is not confirmed, the bike has a 14-liter fuel tank, providing good range.
However, considering its price, the absence of Bluetooth and navigation might deter potential buyers, given the competitive options available in the Indian market. For enthusiasts who prioritize sports bike performance, the Yamaha R3 could still be an appealing choice.
